Along with start-up companies, Exporpymes is a showcase for other exporters. This is the case of Fesba frozen seafood company, founded in 1968 in Dodro (A Coruña) exporting since the early nineties. “80% of our turnover comes from outside Spain,” explains the company’s export commercial, José María Ponte. The firm sends raw octopus , among other seafood products, to the US, Portugal, Italy, Greece and other countries in Europe and America. The group processes about 2,500 tons of cephalopod per year, invoices 25 million and has about 65 workers. “We come to Exporpymes because there may be opportunities to open new markets,” he concludes.
